T’ai Chi

Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, t’ai chi is now practiced worldwide as a health-promoting exercise. This ancient method of well-being combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. It’s a rewarding and joyful form of exercise for people of all ages, especially those 60 years and over. Often described as moving meditation, benefits can include reduced stress, improved posture, balance and general mobility, and increased muscle strength in the legs.

Like Pilates, t’ai chi is a low-impact activity that won’t pressure your bones and joints. If performed correctly, almost anyone can do it. We run group classes regularly designed to help you feel revitalised, relaxed and healthier in mind and body.
